About this event
Join us to experience the riparian part of the Salt River. It's a great place to paddle a kayak or an SUP and a perfect place for inexperienced paddlers to test the water in a scenic location. We will paddle as far as we can go on this wide, slow part of the river, and then float with the flow to return to our starting point to watch the sun set. Bring your own beverages and a snack to share at the end of our paddle.
Everyone paddling must have a PFD (personal floatation device).
A Tonto Pass or a National Parks & Rec Pass is required to park in the parking lot. We can direct you to free parking on the highway if you don't have one.
The Granite Reef Recreation parking lot is located where Power Road becomes the Bush Highway. It's the first left turn you can make towards the river. No rentals are available at this location, but can be arranged with No Snow (480-220-5705).
Meet us at the No Snow parking lot at 4:00pm to caravan - 3654 N. Power Road, #109 in Mesa.
