About this event
Join us on a mid-week hike in (hopefully) cooler weather as we start back up with hiking after the long, hot summer.
The Sonoran Preserve, in North Phoenix, comprises more than 9,600 acres. The trail route for this hike is 4.5 miles, 570 ft elevation gain and should take about 2 hours to complete. We will hike the Sidewinder-Ridgeback-Ocotillo loop, described on Alltrails as a 'Great moderate loop which includes a summit, great views and classic Sonoran Desert scenery'. The trail is mostly smooth dirt, slightly rocky in places.
We will meet at the Apache Wash Trailhead at 8:00am. Bring plenty of water, a hat, sunscreen, and a snack.
